NGO The Clash Baltic is a developer and organiser of major events in Estonian combat sports, including MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and boxing. Web Systems created a brand-centric web platform for them that works as a marketing channel, ticketing support, event showcase, home for athlete profiles and a hub for educational videos. Our work included all visual design, look and feel and front-end development. Today, theclash.ee works as a coherent and brand-worthy platform and the e-commerce part is ready and waiting for the client’s decision to go public.

Client and project background
The Clash organises major combat sports events in Estonia and develops the sport throughout the Baltics. Future plans include an international The Clash: European Combatsports Festival 2026. The visual benchmark for the brand was high and comparisons were made with UFC, IMMAF, ONE FC and BRAVE CF. The platform was expected to deliver a sense of professional sports franchise even with the resources of a small NGO.
The challenge: one platform for very different use cases
The challenge was to build a comprehensive online platform that would serve very different audiences at the same time: the fan looking for tickets to the next event, the athlete registering to compete, the media looking for event information and press materials, and the beginner watching free training videos on the website. In addition, the entire solution had to work primarily on mobile, as the fight sports audience mainly accesses content on their phones.

Solution: brand-based design and modular structure
We built the platform on top of WordPress with a custom theme. The design, look and feel and front-end development was created from scratch based on The Clash brand. We talk more about similar projects on the website building and website design service page.
Mobile-first design that carries the brand
The design was built around The Clash’s brand identity: strong visuals, large images, clear typography and smooth mobile navigation. Each section, including the homepage, events, athletes, training, media and supporters, had its own composition, but a single design language applied across the site. The hero section of the homepage highlights the next event and the latest news, and the ‘Buy Ticket’ CTA remains visible on the edge of the screen when scrolling.
Events, athletes and educational content
The platform brings together upcoming and past events, profiles of athletes with relevant information, educational videos embedded from social media including YouTube and Instagram, and a media section with news, photo and video galleries. The modular structure means that adding a new event, fighter profile or training video does not require developer intervention. Everything is managed by the client.
Ticket sales via Fienta, visitor stays on the website
The Clash uses the Fienta environment for ticket sales. We designed the integration so that the visitor can see and buy a ticket in the context of The Clash’s own website as much as possible, rather than immediately leaving to an external platform. This keeps the brand experience consistent and reduces disconnected purchases.
E-shop ready, to be activated later
We also developed a WooCommerce based e-store section with product sales, a “Buy Now” function and support for pre-orders. The technical solution is ready and linked to The Clash’s design language. The e-store is activated at the customer’s discretion and no new development is required to roll it out.
